THE CASSOWARY KID: LIFE WITH LIVING DINOSAURS
by 1527 Productions
Dr. Todd Green is one of the only modern researchers who has dedicated their research to a group of Australasian flightless birds called cassowaries. Despite growing up in the snowy mountains of Colorado, he first became passionate about these tropical birds at just five years old. Cassowaries are seclusive, territorial, and potentially lethal animals, making them challenging to study. These birds play a crucial ecological role by consuming fruit and dispersing seeds of hundreds of plant species—literally planting the rainforest. We aim give viewers an inside look at Dr. Green’s career and ongoing projects to better understand the secret lives of these extraordinary living dinosaurs.
